Country Symphony

Birds chirp and cheep;

Frogs croak and leap

From sitting, to orchestrate

Their own melody, lest

It come too late;

Bears grunt, creeks babble

As they please;

The lake’s streak’d

With water lines

From a gaggle

Of honking geese;

Gnats fly ’round and ’round,

Nearly in a tizzy;

The amount of sweat they feast

Upon

Is enough to make one

Dizzy;

Mosquitoes buzz, and crows caw;

Creation itself

Is in awe

Of the Masterpiece its Creator hath

Painted.
